Mission 22 Custom Carbine Fundraising Raffle

Congratulations to John S. from Murray, UT. John's ticket number, #304975, was randomly drawn as the winner of the Mission 22 Custom AR-15 Carbine from 5.56 Tactical and Samson Manufacturing.

Most people would agree that our veterans have made tremendous sacrifices in order to stand up and answer their nation’s call to service. Our soldiers often endure hardships in the field, long periods of separation from loved ones, and in combat, they face conditions and witness horrific events, which most of us simply can’t relate to. It’s no surprise then that some of these traumatic events linger to haunt returning veterans, in some cases, for the rest of their lives. After the “Great War,” this lingering trauma was referred to as “shell shock.” You know the condition today as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, or “PTSD.”

With the current state of affairs in certain government run organizations, it’s no surprise that many of our veterans don’t seek out, or aren’t able to access the help some of them desperately need. Sadly, the suicide rate among our returning vets has risen to intolerable levels. With an estimated 20+ deaths per day, the solitary war at home has claimed more lives than our combat missions around the globe. Mission 22 is one organization which is dedicated not only to raising awareness of this problem, but to reversing this terrible trend. Guns for a Cause is proud to play a small part in helping them reach this goal.

Founded by veterans, for veterans, Mission 22 has made it their mission to raise awareness, enlist support, and end veteran suicide in America. Your generous contributions will help Mission 22 create not only permanent memorials to veterans who have succumbed to the battle at home, but you will also be supporting their efforts to fund the mobile “War at Home Memorial,” which will travel around the United States, spreading the message, and honoring our veterans who gave so much for our freedoms.
