Kara’s HoPE

Clark “Meltdown” Fundraising Event

We're pleased to congratulate Mayco B., from Farmington Hills, Michigan. Mayco's ticket, #325339 was drawn as the winner of the Springfield Armory/Clark Meltdown pistol.

Custom 1911 pistols are familiar to most of our supporters. Many of our events often feature finely crafted pistols, from some of the top manufacturers and custom 1911 shops in the country. For our January event to benefit Kara’s HoPE, Guns for a Cause is proud to bring you the opportunity to win a custom Springfield Armory Champion pistol, which has been given the “Meltdown” treatment by Clark Custom Guns.

Of course many of you may recognize Clark Custom as one of the few custom 1911 shops, which has been providing hand crafted custom guns for decades. As a matter of fact, Clark Custom is one of the oldest names in Bullseye shooting and custom carry pistols. Clark has been building custom pistols, and providing quality parts to other gunsmiths, since 1950. Their service and quality is legendary.

Following Col. Jeff Cooper’s description of a beveled handgun as feeling like a “well-used bar of soap,” Clark’s has addressed every single edge of this Springfield Armory Champion pistol. Clark calls this an “edgeless” dehorning job, and from the magazine well, to the “Big Bushing & Reverse Plug,” and even the rear sight, this gun has no sharp edges whatsoever. Finished in a soft, matte blued finish, this pistol is ideal for concealed carry and self defense, and it’s equally suited for a comfortable afternoon of target practice at the range.

Carrying a retail price of nearly $2,500 the “Meltdown” package is considered by many professionals to be one of the finest 1911 pistols designed for deep concealment. After handling this pistol, it’s difficult to imagine how it could be made any more comfortable in the hand, or in the holster.

Kara’s HoPE is offering an exclusive opportunity to Guns for a Cause participants. If you’re reading this page, you have the chance to add the Clark “Meltdown” to your own collection, for only $20 per ticket. There is a strict limit of just 2,000 tickets, and your chance to win ends at the end of January.

When you Support Kara’s HoPE, you’re helping provide needed resources for families who are struggling to care for a child with Holoprosencephaly, a congenital brain disorder, which is most often a terminal condition. Please consider contributing so that Kara’s HoPE can continue their mission of helping families with these special infants and children.

Tickets are available online through 11:00 PM on the 29th of January, 2017. We will draw the winner on Monday, the 30th of January, 2017. Best of luck!

Contestants need not be present to win. Entries will be electronically logged and you will receive an e-mail confirmation of your “e-Ticket” number(s). The drawing will be conducted by an independent accounting firm. See Official Drawing Rules for details.

Credit card donations are encrypted. Currently, Guns for a Cause accepts donations through Visa, Master Card, and Discover.

Please note: Due to U.S. postal regulations (18 U.S.C. Section 1302), raffle ticket stubs cannot be returned by mail for purchases over the Internet, through the mail or by telephone. When an order is placed, we will add the donor’s information including name, address, e-mail address and phone number, into our database. Each “ticket” will then be assigned a computer generated randomized number. The winning “ticket” shall also be selected by using a random number generator, thus creating a “double blind” selection process. The winner will be notified based on the name and contact information provided by the donor, at the time of the donation.
