American Pistolsmiths Guild
Custom Caspian - 2016 Scholarship Fundraiser
Congratulations to Peter R. of Los Lunas, NM
Peter had ticket # 284438 and is the winner of the 2016 APG Gun of the Year.
Guns for a Cause is honored to bring you the opportunity to participate in a benefit for the American Pistolsmiths Guild. When you support the APG, not only are you supporting the constant improvement of the gun maker’s art, you are supporting an organization firmly dedicated to the support of our Second Amendment rights and the promotion of legislation to preserve our rights for future generations. The APG also exists to establish “best practices” for the custom gunsmith industry and is dedicated to the satisfaction of the shooting public when issues between a maker and a customer may arise. The APG is more than just an association of gunsmiths; it is also an advocacy group for the entire shooting community.
Tickets for your opportunity to win this fantastic representation of gunsmithing artistry are only $20 each.
To be a gunsmith takes time, patience and refinement. An individual may be born with mechanical coordination and mathematical skills, but the APG helps refine the art of custom gunsmithing through a peer-review process which each member must undergo before being considered for admission to the Guild. What you see here are the results of some of the finest pistolsmiths in the world, coming together to forge a unique 1911 pistol. Truly, this is another unique opportunity to place the finest workmanship into your own collection. The featured pistol is a Caspian Government Model which has been built by the following master Pistolsmiths: Irv Stone III, Neil Keller, Bill Laughridge and John Yanek. The gun is superbly finished with charcoal bluing by Doug Turnbull Manufacturing. Topping off this fantastic custom pistol is an equally impressive custom holster and magazine pouch from John Ralston of 5 Shot Leather LLC. The holster and mag pouch is a perfect complement to the custom pistol featured in this event.
When you support the APG by ordering your tickets, you are helping to fuel the dreams of students who wish to pursue the art of gunsmithing, and you are helping to provide scholarships to those craftsmen of the future who will continue to push the artistic and mechanical boundaries of custom pistols. There will be a strict limit of only 3,500 tickets available. Tickets for this event are just $20 and will be available only through 11:00 pm (Eastern) on the 16th of October, 2016.
We will draw a winner on Monday, the 17th of October, 2016. A cash alternative prize will be made available to participants in California, or any other jurisdiction where this specific firearm may be prohibited.
Credit card donations are encrypted. Currently, Guns for a Cause accepts donations through Visa, Master Card, and Discover.
Please note: Due to U.S. postal regulations (18 U.S.C. Section 1302), raffle ticket stubs cannot be returned by mail for purchases over the Internet, through the mail or by telephone. When an order is placed, we will add the donor’s information including name, address, e-mail address and phone number, into our database. Each “ticket” will then be assigned a computer generated randomized number. The winning “ticket” shall also be selected by using a random number generator, thus creating a “double blind” selection process. The winner will be notified based on the name and contact information provided by the donor, at the time of the donation.
